In Roslagen, in one of many old works in Uppland, 80km from Stockholm is Rånäs Bilfjädrar AB situated, which has been manufactured springs since 1951. Owner of Rånäs Bilfjädrar AB is LVD Svenska AB. LVD Svenska AB belongs to AxIndustries since June 2008. LVD are situated in six different places in Sweden, from Malmö in the south to Örnsköldsvik in the north. LVD is one of the leading wholesalers of spare parts to commercial vehicles and have a very wide range, specialised in Scania, Volvo and spare parts to trailer axles.
Rånäs are producing 20,000 multileaf springs, approximate 700 ton per year. The focus has been on springs to both light and commercial vehicles to many brands such as Volvo, Scania, Mercedes, DAF, Iveco, MAN, Toyota, Ford, Mazda, Nissan, Mitsubishi as well as to the most common trailer brands.

The production and machinery are very flexible with short times of changeover, meaning shorter times from order to supply.
A speciality is to calculate and produce custom-designed springs for vehicles with special requirements. Rånäs work after the well known industry standard DIN 2094 for use in Europe.
